- 2 oz Erstwhile Espadin Mezcal
- 2 oz Ancho Reyes Verde
- 0.5 oz Chamomile Syrup
- 2 Dashes Orange Bitters
- 2 Dashes Bogarts Bitters (or Angostura)
- Shake vigorously with cracked ice. Serve up. Garnish with orange peel
This cocktail is smooth on the palate with a touch of creaminess, smoke, medicine, and spice. The creaminess can be adjusted by substituting the hard-to-find Bogart’s Bitters with more common Angostura.
A note on this marvelous glass. This is a stunning late 19th century Venetian art glass coupe designed by Murano house of Salviati. It incorporates blue criss-cross latticino/zanfirico strands trimmed in copper aventurine. Today, the art of making such masterpieces has been forgotten.
